Michaela Delaney Guthrie

Michaela Delaney Guthrie (Apprentice)

Michaela Delaney Guthrie is a hard-of-hearing dance artist, performer, and model from Los Angeles, California, currently based in Philadelphia. She has been dancing for 20 years across a variety of styles, receiving her early training at California School of the Arts – San Gabriel Valley and through musical theater productions during her youth.

Michaela holds degrees in Dance and American Sign Language from Temple University. Since moving to Philadelphia, she has trained with Roni Koresh and Melissa Rector and has performed with Jim Bunting Dance Company. Her performance experience includes appearances with musical artists at World Cafe Live, as well as performances at the Philadelphia 76ers’ court, Gibney Dance Center, Koresh Dance, FringeArts, the Cannonball Festival Philadelphia, and the Emerging Artists Theater’s NYC Spark Festival.

As an artist, Michaela seeks to broaden the ways dance is experienced, consumed, and accessed. She believes strongly that everyone can—and should—dance. To her, dance is the language of the soul: when words are not enough, movement and choice become how we speak.
